KCA Facilities
Infirmary
Kids will just be kids! School life includes scraped elbows and knees as well as the occasional illness on campus. We have a well-stocked hospital where first aid is given. Children can rest in the sick bay until their parents pick them up for the day. Here, all small wounds and cuts are treated. There is a great deal of love and sympathy shown for children. We are aware of how frightening even the smallest wounds might seem to a young person away from home. With all the kindness in the world, we take care of them.
Healthy Advice:
It is of utmost importance to impart health education to our children so that they can become fit and confident individuals. All parents must ensure that children:
• Start the day with a healthy breakfast. It refuels the body and provides energy for the day.
• Take time while eating and chew slowly. It takes 20 minutes for the brain to tell the body that you are full.
• Eat more vegetables and fresh fruits.
• Eat more whole grains.
• Drink plenty of fluids.
• Maintain personal hygiene such as trimming of nails/hair and stay neat on a regular basis.
• Exercise regularly.
• Have a nutritionally balanced diet.
• Drink enough water (either boiled or filtered) throughout the day to avoid dehydration.
• Must avoid consumption of eatables from roadside vendors and kiosks.
• Avoid fast food.
• Bring seasonal fruit to eat during Fruit Break.
• Carry paper soap to wash hands.
All children should also:
• be de-wormed at least once every year, as per the advice of the physician.
• have a dental and ophthalmic check once every year by well qualified specialists.
• be immunized regularly against prescribed infections and diseases.
• Children indulging in sports and physical activities should consume liquids like juices, lemon water, glucose, etc. at regular intervals.
• Children taking extra coaching classes must carry extra food to avoid staying empty stomach for a long duration.
• Students suffering from diseases such as chicken pox, cholera, measles, mumps, whooping cough, dengue, and jaundice must observe the prescribed period of quarantine.
• Students suffering from infectious diseases such as conjunctivitis, dermatitis & scabies etc. should not be sent to school until they have fully recovered and are fit to attend classes. The same must be certified by a qualified doctor in the form of a medical certificate to be sent to the class teacher.
• Students suffering from chronic diseases must be under continuous medical supervision of a specialist in the concerned field. A history of their illness, along with the treatment and the names of medicines and dosage prescribed by the doctor must be submitted to the class teacher/class coordinator as soon as the problem is diagnosed during the academic year.
• The school must be informed regarding any injury sustained by the child particularly if it has a lasting effect.
• Any special medication or ailment must be brought to the notice of all concerned along with supporting medical documents.
Sports
SPORTS IS A PRESERVER OF HEALTH, A DESIRE, A DREAM, A VISION
The value of athletics in a young student's life is immeasurable and extends much beyond the simple statement that "it keeps kids off the streets." In addition to keeping kids off the streets, it teaches them life principles that are crucial for student-athletes.
The very center of our curriculum at KCA is "Sports," where students engage in and excel in a variety of activities. Our 'Sports' activity mostly instills self-esteem, mental alertness, self-confidence, pro-activity, leadership, responsibility, discipline, loyalty, and team spirit. We encourage our kids to participate in constructive competition and pursue their dreams of success.
Library
Our library fosters a lifelong love of reading by acting as the central information hub for the entire learning and teaching community. To promote and support the growth of learner agency, it offers a well-rounded variety of resources that reflect and represent the varied learning styles, cultures, beliefs, and mother tongues of students inside the school. Given that our kids are growing up with technology, it's critical to incorporate lessons about digital citizenship (also known as the Common-Sense Media Guidelines) into library classes.
IT Labs
We live in a constantly changing world. Today, knowing how to use a computer is an absolute must. Even the youngest pupils can benefit from early exposure to essential computer skills, such as typing, basic research, graphic design, and HTML coding. These abilities, therefore, enable pupils to have a brighter future. Learning how to use a computer enables a child to experience new ways of thinking while utilizing both logical and creative brain processes. For kids of all ages and academic skills, math, science, art, and other disciplines can be included in lesson plans in engaging ways.
Science Lab
Our well-equipped labs serve as learning environments for science students and give them a place to practice their practical experiments. The Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Laboratories conduct a wide range of experiments simultaneously while the teachers and qualified lab assistants are constantly on hand to ensure everyone's safety and provide direction for the best outcomes.
Math Lab
Children use manipulative materials to do mathematical experiments, play mathematical games, solve riddles, and participate in the learning process during the weekly math lab period. The core tenet of the math lab is that it is activity-focused, allowing kids to investigate manipulatives and learn about the peculiarities of math. The youngster can bridge the gap between the actual and abstract worlds by manipulating concrete objects.
Smart Classes
The traditional classroom and technology are combined to create smart classes, which make learning for students exciting and teaching rewarding. To stay competitive in today's rapidly expanding market, high-quality education is essential.
TRANSPORT
A fleet of 7 vehicles is currently operating, providing transportation services for as many pupils as possible.
Hostel
Our hostel offers a friendly, safe environment that can serve as a home away from home. The school has added this facility to aid pupils in avoiding the difficulties of lingering outside and consuming food in unapproved messes, which poses health risks. The students can take advantage of this chance to focus solely on their objectives without being distracted by TV, radio, movies, etc. It hasn't turned back since it began. From academic to supplementary assistance, the school has always been there for the hostellers whenever and wherever it was needed. Regular evening time visits from the teachers allow the kids to air their concerns and learn best in a relaxed setting.
